RGP Senior Tax Accountant in Jersey City, New Jersey
RGP’s Financial Services team partners with leading clients across asset management, capital markets, financial institutions, and the insurance industry, providing critical expertise in finance, risk management, accounting, and compliance. We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant who will be instrumental in delivering tax services and solutions across various tax areas.
Prepare and review corporate federal and state income tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
Prepare supporting workpapers and documentation for federal and state income tax returns.
Identify and resolve diagnostic issues to facilitate electronic filing of tax returns, enhancing efficiency and compliance
Assist in preparing quarterly and annual income tax provisions for non-insurance subsidiaries, adhering to ASC 740 standards.
Draft and coordinate responses to federal and state tax notices, assessments, audits, and inquiries, and ensure all supporting documentation is accurate and complete.
Maintain organized and updated audit schedules, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
Manage a comprehensive tax compliance calendar for timely filing of returns, payment of estimated taxes, extensions, annual reports, and other filings.
Ensure all deadlines are met, reducing risk of penalties and maintaining compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Compile and prepare indirect tax filings, including sales and use tax, property tax, franchise tax, and other related indirect taxes.
Analyze and report on deferred tax assets and liabilities, and update tax provisions based on current tax regulations and company data.
Corporate tax accounting experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business
Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
Pay Range: $60-$80/hr.
