Emerson Sales Manager - Flow Measurement Products in JOHANNESBURG, South Africa
Job Summary:
Primary purpose of the job is to lead Sales & Business development activities for Flow Measurement Products (Coriolis flow meter, Magnetic & Vortex Flow meter, inline Ultrasonic Flow meter, Multiphase flow meters) within South Africa and Southern African Countries. This position is intended to drive traditional Measurement Solutions technology conversation and technology adoption/acceptance of the products/solutions to grow business in all industries in South/Southern Africa Market!
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Lead Sales, Business development, support project pursuit initiatives for flow measurement products in South/Southern Africa, to meet or exceed BU financial objectives/Targets.
Develop, own and complete the relevant BU Strategic Plan and Key Initiatives
Uncover growth opportunities and manage all the Sales opportunities in the market (Customers, EPC’s /OEM’s/ System Integrators) for flow products in South Africa and Southern African countries.
Improve Business group and customer happiness by understanding, communicating and driving solutions to their needs.
Participate in developing and performing sales strategies for projects and MRO opportunities. Maintain an accurate project pursuit list, monthly POR and provide monthly reports and forecasts to Sales Director
Collaborate with other regional sales individuals, Product Managers and LBPs across south Africa and Southern Africa - as needed -, work closely with Emerson & LBP proposal generation groups to ensure all offers reflect customer needs, competitively priced and are submitted on time.
Liaise with customers, Emerson teams and LBPs to prioritize effort, capture competitive intelligence and improve customer service, consistent with Business Group’s sales strategies and Key Account Plans
Keep up to date with developments and trends in products, industries and market conditions, develop and maintain sales tools within the scope of work, implement and own Business Group related marketing activities.
Prepare and present marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, competitor intelligence and country marketing plans partnering with the Regional Managers or Country leaders.
Work closely with other Emerson Business groups to improve pull-through content and identify white spaces.
Support strengthening existing and develop new Business Group relationships, and develop new relationships with customer or third-party personnel (i.e., regulatory, legal agencies, customer technical boards, consultants, etc.) who may influence and make buying decisions.

For This Role, You Will Need:
Engineering degree or relevant work experience
A minimum of 10 years’ experience within the process control industry
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing with at least 5 years of Field Sales of Flow metering products in relevant industries.
Track record of business growth
Minimum of 5 years interactive relationship with end users, EPCs, Engineering consultants
Coordination and negotiation skills
Business degree is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
