THIS ROLE WILL FORM PART OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN COMMERCIAL TEAM SITUATED IN THE JOHANNESBURG OFFICE.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In this role you will create and drive the account vision and strategy with a focus on Lifestyle or Performance category’s throughout the pre and in-season offense. You are the commercial voice for the marketplace, storytelling throughout the go-to-market process.
You are a key member of the Marketplace function on the ground in South Africa.
You will be accountable for:
• Develop seasonal assortments based on frameworks delivered by merchandising. Ensuring seasonal Brand stories, product flow and optimize in-season trading and replenishment to maximize the accounts results.
• Plan your accounts business: forecasts and scenario plans for the account using category, consumer, partner, brand and marketplace knowledge
• Manage the partner and the marketplace: Ensure best presentation of stories and products at your account (digital & B&M) aligned with the One Nike Marketplace strategy.
• Build a premium seamless consumer experience, scaling online-to-offline. Obsess product launch journeys across Account platform ecosystem
• Contribute to net revenue growth and net contribution of your account by managing the end-to-end business with your account.
• High standard to complex partnership management, supporting commercial categories goals independently, through higher problem-solving skills, and contributing to the collective team performance
• Collaborate on partner (city) experience at sell-in, and (co-)own the E2E experience for your showroom – work closely with Office admin and/or (City) Experience Spearhead and x-functional partners (e.g. merch) to bring excellent partner sell-in experience to life.
• Actively contribute and participate in Ground Game (Authenticators)
• Ensure recurring and consistent representation, presence and collaboration with partner/buyer in the market at retail (retail visit, staff training, competitor knowledge,…) where relevant and within T&E budget.
• Set up an own trade terms E2E, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and the there is effective tracking and managing of funds aligned to compliances.
• Support and drive AA process, Agile squads and BA executions.
• Build annual trade terms to align to central direction whilst driving positive account behavior aligned with business and accounts strategies, tracking and ensuring necessary compliance is maintained.
• Implement Account strategies.
• Create and drive right assortment for your partner to contribute to the net revenue growth and overall Marketplace management.
• Execute the Consumer Code with your account end to end including showroom & sell-in excellence.
• Be an effective team player & positive influence.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
In this role you will deliver the above core responsibilities.
You will also work cross-functionally in the Johannesburg office with key partners such as Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Finance, Operations, CIMEA and Nike South Africa leadership team in service of our athletes and consumers, to deliver on our next % strategy.
You must be collaborative and maximize the effectiveness of the cross-functional team, in service of the consumer.

WHAT YOU BRING
A successful candidate will be expected to clearly demonstrate and articulate experience of the below essential requirements to be considered. Candidates that meet these criteria will then be assessed based on the competencies also outlined below.
Essential requirements
· You have a very strong commercial and/or finance and/or supply chain experience dealing mainly with retail data.
· You have experience managing Partner and stakeholder management at all levels: including management and or interaction at Owner/CEO/ Director level.
· You have led or co led project management experience, with minimum 3 cross functional teams, impacting your direct team or wider team on annual base.
·Experience of executing, building and or driving business strategy E2E.
· Merchandising: create account assortment based on POS account input and strategy, manage product lifecycles and buy reviews.
· Retail planning: Leveraging data, to optimize Inventory & gross margins.
· Digital acumen: knowledge and know how of what drives a premium consumer experience E2E.
