Seasonal/Temporary work from 3/1/2025 - 12/1/2025
Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops such as working with bins and augers to clean and load out grain; Clean and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Set up, repair, maintain, and operate irrigation equipment such as rolling out poly pipe and poking holes in it, operating power units, shoveling and putting in/adjusting spill, use backhoe to bury irrigation pipe; Inform farm managers of crop progress; Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers; Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled\ machinery (much of which is equipped with GPS) such as planter, combine, tillage tool to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops such as soybeans, rice, corn; Load inputs and drive trucks to transport to employers fields, load employers crops and drive trucks to transport to fields and storage facilities such as elevators, bins, silos, piles/bags in close\ proximity to the farm; Clean work areas and maintain grounds by mowing roads and around bins; Haul fuel to power units and machines, and spread inputs, fertilizer, and other materials to condition soil; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures; Mix materials, dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; speak and understand English.
