The Role - What’s the job?

The Production Superintendent is responsible for providing the leadership to safely and effectively manage all plant production related operations in a manner to achieve maximum operating efficiencies within cost and quality standards which will meet or exceed customer, corporate, state and federal requirements.

This position is responsible to support all production crews throughout the week. This includes being on call during off hours and communicating to management if planning to not be available for a time. Must show effectiveness in root cause analysis combined with successful short and long term corrective actions.

Requirements - What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Science, or Business Management and/or five (5) or more years manufacturing experience in WCM related role preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to learn and apply new concepts.

  • Strong change management skills to include implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles in the workplace.

  • Passion for problem solving, logical thinking & keen listening from input of others.

  • Ability to assimilate information to form a bigger picture for future plant growth.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office including Excel/Word/PowerPoint, along with current corporate business software – SAP, MES, etc.

  • Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes as well as quality standards and modern manufacturing technologies and techniques.

  • Experience working with and developing 5S, standardized work and other Lean principles. Proficiency in Six Sigma, TPM and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
