We are searching for the best talent for PRODUCTION ENGINEER II (TEMPORARY 12 MONTHS) to be in Juarez, Chih., in Plant Independencia.
Purpose:
A Production Engineer provides technical expertise and leadership to the manufacturing process lines. It is (he’s/her) responsibility to identify and resolve technical opportunities on Safety, Quality, Compliance, Customer Service or/and Cost, through continuous improvement, and decision-making based on CREDO values. Production Engineer is accountable for maintaining pieces of equipment in optimal conditions to support manufacturing requirements. In addition, Production Engineers shall share their knowledge and expertise with Operation Technicians guiding/coaching them or maintaining manufacturing processes in optimal conditions to support manufacturing requirements.
Ensure to comply with quality Metrics (i.e. Non-Conformance, CAPA, Audit observations Timeliness Metric).
Manages and coordinates Engineering through subordinated technicians in order to meet
Production/NPD requirements consistent with costs, high quality, profitability and the required delivery times.
Schedules, organizes, runs, integrates and wraps up projects within the expected scope and time frame, either by personally carrying them out or assigning them to subordinates.
Must display individual creativity, forethought, and skills in making judgment calls, anticipating to and solving problems, creating programs to meet goals/requirements,
organization/leadership of projects, and developing standards and guidelines for technical activities
You will be responsible for:
Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:
Conducts assignments encompassing complete projects or portions of major projects. Determines methods and techniques to be used or adapts standard methods to meet variations. Coordinate phases of work with outside vendors. Measures performance to targets and implements remedial actions as instructed. Coaching Mechanics
Responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership for daily manufacturing operations and ensuring established metrics (Production, Quality, Scrap and Cycle Time) are met
Utilizes Process Excellence methodology and tools to identify and implement improvement projects geared to reduce cost, eliminate scrap, improve quality and minimize cycle time
Provides specific technical expertise to support special projects, pilot operations, product and process improvements; and provides input to develop capital expense forecast and equipment/spare parts budgets to support business needs
Identifies and develops corrective action plans to improve product reliability in the field
Provides support to product inquiry investigations
Follow all company safety policies and other safety precautions within the work area
Compliance with safety policies and procedures
Ensures compliance with Environmental Management System (EHS) responsibilities
Other responsibilities may be assigned and not all responsibilities listed may be assigned
Provides and implements robust corrective actions to quality, safety and ergonomic risk detected in the manufacturing area.
Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Note: An ERP system is a software application that integrates and facilitates the flow of information
across an entire organization, including manufacturing, planning, forecasting, materials
management, resources, finance and accounting, sales and service, etc.

Qualifications
Requirements:
B.S. Engineering degree required. Preferred M.S. Engineering degree or Ph. D. Degree pursuing or completed
Approximate experience, or equivalent knowledge and skills, necessary to satisfactorily perform the position responsibilities.
2 – 4 years of experience in related field.
Advance technical training in area(s) of expertise preferred
Bilingual: English/ Spanish preferred
GMP/ ISO knowledge preferred
Knowledge of product and process design and development, materials, standardization science and applied statistics
Knowledge of project management and cost analysis preferred
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet analysis, data management, projects management, presentation graphics, engineering analysis and statistical software.
Knowledge of information systems including but not limited to ERP, Quality Systems & Documentation Control Systems
