Location: Monterrey, N.L.

Opportunity

BASIC FUNCTION

Reporting to the Operations manager to define, prioritize, and implement project strategy. Will lead teams and negotiate for resources to Problem Solving practices for Safety, People, Quality, Delivery and Cost (Problem Solving support and coach to plant) cost reduction projects to a successful and timely completion.

The production coordinator makes sure that all the administrative tasks of the production office are carried out successfully according to the behaviors and KOS structure (Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Environmental), Will be a trainer development a Group Leaders and Team members to support the task per area.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:

Responsible for the daily activities of a production team, including managing team members, and meeting production goals. Works transversally to recommend and participate in improving safety, people, quality, deliveries, cost and environmental.

Provides guidance and feedback to team members to achieve tasks and objectives; sets expectations and clarifies responsibilities.

Coordination and supervision of activities (5's; zero accidents, Pokayokes, compliance with training, rotation, zero non-conformities in quality and HSE audits; compliance with the production and shipping program, zero negatives in material or product sales transactions, Compliance with LOTO, MDO, preventive and predictive maintenance, filling of boards hour by hour), and productions meetings.

Coaches and mentors for team members.

Manages the floor operations

Promotes, educates, communicates, and follows up on safety initiatives

Maintain safety culture through audits, observation, and incident investigation.

Assist in obtaining resources to effectively perform operations.

Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills

Knowledge of Manufacturing Systems (TPS), quality control procedures, manufacturing processes, and management systems as they relate to production operations.

Must be willing to rotate shifts.

Allocate manpower as needed. Plan release for training.

Lead shift meetings for SPQRC.

Execute CIP workshops in the areas of Quality & Cost.

Support unit manager to resolve manpower issues in conjunction with union.

Manages budget and achievement of productivity improvements

Skills/Requirements

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in an Automotive Industries (Tier 1-2-3 or OEM)

Bachelor's degree or 10 total years of Manufacturing Experience required

Ability to lead problem solving activities and leverage analytical abilities.

Leadership/Management Experience (Union, Salaried, Skilled Trades or similar)

Knowledge of continuous improvement processes (CIP)

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint)

English 85 %

RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS

Supervisory Relationships:

Manager – Operations Manager

Organization Relationships:

Frequent contact with all Departments of Kohler SFO and Managers

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skills is valid. However, we prefer the following:

Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanics, Metalworking or related.

Personnel control (Eslabon, desirable) and monitoring of the production process

Experience in managing work groups (50 people)
