Supply Chain Manager - Supply Commercialization Project Mgr

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world! In this vital role you will be managing the life cycle for new and existing Amgen’s medicines which are supplied to millions of patients. In the role of Site Commercialization Project Manager (SCPM) you are a key player and responsible for effective planning, timely completion and implementation of new product launches and variations in the product life cycle management of Amgen products.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conceive, design, progresses and implement GMP changes specific to customer facing (SKUs) change records within the Change Control Management quality system (TrackWise or similar).

  • Interpret strategies and navigates through artwork and regulatory GMP systems to ensure a compliant change is developed, prioritized, and progressed through all product stages in compliance with the respective guidelines, procedures and regional supply expectations.

  • Makes sound decisions and projects adjustments based on data from Regional (Country) Operations Leads, planning tools, production planners, inventory scrap costs and resources capacity utilization.

  • Completes specific supply chain readiness projects and business cases, including project management of new SKU supply.

  • Supports manager in leading all aspects of project(s) within Supply Chain: planning, implementation, monitoring, follow-up, completion, and business partner meetings.

  • Reports, communicates and presents metrics on variations implementations, launch completions and other activities related to the life cycle management of the Amgen products.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master’s degree and 2 years of experience in Business Planning, Manufacturing support and/or Supply Chain Functional Operations

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in Business Planning, Manufacturing support and/or Supply Chain Functional Operations

Or

Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience in Business Planning, Manufacturing support and/or Supply Chain Functional Operations

Or

High School diploma / GED and 10 years of experience in Business Planning, Manufacturing support and/or Supply Chain Functional Operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational Background in Business Administration, Life Sciences and/or Engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with change control processes and system focused on commercial product life cycle and new product (SKU) introduction.

  • Demonstrated ability on SAP bill of material (BOM) management, product structures & configurations, and coordination around production schedules.

  • Experience on managing deviations (non-conformances).

  • Experience strategizing regional regulatory requirements and global product variations applicable to finished drug product material.

  • Strong organizational skills, diligent and accurate, analytical and technical writing skills.

  • Strong project management skills in balancing multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously.

  • Process improvement mentality with the ability to lead changes in a high demand environment.

  • Highly proficient in English and Spanish communication skills (verbal and written).
