Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
- Assist customers with locating products and provide recommendations as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
- Ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
Cashiering:
- Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
- Process returns and exchanges according to store policies.
- Ensure the cash register area is tidy and well-organized.
- Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
Store Maintenance:
- Stock shelves with merchandise and ensure products are displayed neatly.
- Assist with inventory control by keeping track of stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the store, including sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
- Ensure that the produce section is clean and that all produce is stored properly at the end of the shift.
- Check refrigerators and freezers to ensure they are closed and functioning properly.
Additional Duties:
- Mop the floor once a day to maintain a clean environment.
- Assist with unloading product deliveries and processing inventory every Friday.
- Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Friendly, helpful, and customer-oriented attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
