Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Description We are offering an opportunity for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing a variety of administrative and financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, human resources duties, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office. This role falls within the service industry and is a vital part of ensuring the smooth running of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

• Managing employee hiring, including processing new hire paperwork and overseeing recruitment processes.

• Handling accounts payable, including entering vendor invoices, reconciling the checkbook, paying bills, and printing checks.

• Managing accounts receivable, including reconciling web order deposits daily, checking deposits, and handling past due invoices.

• Overseeing purchasing duties, including ordering office supplies and inventory.

• Maintaining accurate financial records, including preparing end of year reports for inventory count and organizing end of year taxes for the accountant.

• Utilizing a variety of software systems, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook to complete job duties.

• Performing full cycle payroll and other accounting functions as necessary.

• Handling employee complaints and resolving issues as they arise.

• Overseeing audits, tracking checking account balance, and updating the computer system as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites

• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook

• Comprehensive understanding and experience with Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with Billing Functions

• Familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll
