HealthFitness has an excellent opportunity for a part-time (20 hours/wk) Massage Therapist at our corporate client site in Kanata, Ontario. In this position, you will administer professional massage services to a wide variety of members and guests.
Both chair and table massage; equipment and supplies are provided.
This is a part-time position, 20 hours/week, weekdays only; Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday preferred. Flexible schedule; based upon client demand, between the hours of 8:30a-5:30p.
This is a great place to work, and the clients are very excited to bring massage therapy back on site! This facility is located in the IT suburbs of Ottawa, close to hiking/mountain biking/snowshoe trails. The area encourages outdoor rec through all 4 seasons.
What you will be doing:
Perform numerous massage modalities and adjust delivery mode to address the needs of each customer.
General understanding of body treatments and be willing and able to learn the products and services provided.
Therapist must be willing and capable to deliver on site table and chair massage in a corporate setting (incidental travel, set-up and tear down) in addition to a spa like environment within a fitness center.
Must function as an active member of an integrated health and wellness team and support department wide events and strategies.
What you bring with you:
Massage Therapy License with the CMTO required.
Current Adult First Aid and CPR/AED certifications from the Canadian Red Cross, LifeSaving Society, St. Johns Ambulance, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Ottawa Paramedic Service required.
Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required.
Experience in sports massage techniques.
Good communication skills; listening and verbal.
