Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will examine, verify, maintain, and reconcile accounts and accounting data and prepare and analyze reports. You will review and determine signature authentication and correct processing codes. You will examine invoices, voucher, and related documents. You will make and verify arithmetical computations. You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will answer requests and provide advice to employees, supervisors, staff in other financial management series and personnel specialists on pay related rules, regulations, and procedures. You will establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts for active, reserve, or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants. You will in process, out process, and separate service members, respond to pay inquires, review pay debts, and process adjustments. You will perform budget analysis and administration such as maintaining ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Performing account maintenance and accounting support work, performing work in the receipt, disbursement, and custody of cash items, and answering questions from personnel regarding pay rules and regulations. GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Utilizing accounting, budgeting or other financial management methods, techniques, procedures to carry out assignments significantly difficult and complex. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.90% will be added to the stated salary. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
