Hallmark 2025 Summer Internships – Finance and Accounting in Kansas City, Missouri

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW

Finance and Accounting Interns at Hallmark typically have accounting, finance, mathematics, economics, or information systems majors, strong academic records, and demonstrated leadership skills. As an intern you will work on impactful projects rooted in real business need. You will be tasked with the development of a problem-solving approach, actual problem solving (which may include some systems interaction), and the presentation of results or recommendations to management. In addition to your project work, you will have opportunities to expand your professional skill set, connect with corporate senior leadership, and engage in lots of fun social activities with your fellow interns! Past projects have included: Participation in an internal audit, sales terms analysis, product line profitability, financial plans and forecasts, cash management, and budget plans and reports.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or Information Systems OR pursuing an MBA/Master’s degree in Accounting

  • A graduation date of December 2025, May 2026, December 2026, or May 2027.

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (must be stated on your resume).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume and application will stand out if you have:

  • Senior year student enrolled in graduate school for Master’s degree in Accounting.

  • Junior year student with a Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or Information Systems major.

  • GPA of 3.5 or above in major (GPA must be stated on your resume).

  • Previous internship experience or experience in the Finance or Accounting field.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Must be goal oriented and results driven.

  • Excellent communication skills required, both verbal and written, as you work with both internal and external partners.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required to analyze multiple systems to ensure data integrity.

    ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • This summer internship is a hybrid position, with the flexibility to work from both our recently renovated headquarters building in Kansas City, MO, and from your summer residence within the KC metro area.

  • Some relocation and housing assistance is provided for interns whose permanent address is outside of the KC metro area.

  • Our internship program is 12-weeks long, starting in late May and ending in early August.
