Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Kansas City, Missouri
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. The position is within the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will process and reconcile invoices, manage credit applications, and maintain accurate financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.
• Managing accounts payable duties, including matching invoices to purchase orders.
• Conducting credit card reconciliations and expense reports.
• Demonstrating a strong understanding of general ledger operations.
• Utilizing Excel for tasks such as creating pivot tables and performing vlookups.
• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate actions for delinquent payments.
• Training will be provided for candidates with a strong understanding of Excel.
• Utilizing skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Credit Card Reconciliation, Expense Reporting, and Concur. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role within the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures
• Demonstrated experience in Credit Card Reconciliation
• Proficient in Expense Reporting
• Experience with Concur or similar expense management software
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
