PwC’s Strategic Policy Advisors team - a part of its Risk and Regulatory Advisory business - provides clients with comprehensive strategies to define and execute their government and regulatory affairs strategies. The strategic policy advisers team works across industries to leverage, PwC’s breadth of capabilities to bring its clients the full scope of services needed to succeed in this environment.

In today’s rapidly changing regulatory policy environment, organizations need to engage earlier in the process to understand and manage the potential impact of emerging policies on their business;-Interacting effectively with policymakers in order to manage that impact as effectively - and efficiently - as possible.

Demonstrate intimate abilities and/or proven record of success advising clients on policy and regulatory issues, including:-Assessing impact of policy, legislation and regulations on clients; and,-Developing and implementing government relations strategies.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in a regulatory or government affairs policy specialization including the following areas:

-Understanding of the legislative and regulatory process (not exclusively US Federal) including the roles and decision-making process of key governmental and regulatory entities; -Engaging in the policy discussions with policy, legislative, and regulatory decision makers; - Working with key non-governmental stakeholders (e.g. industry associations, think tanks, NGOs); - Having a perspective on the government affairs function within large, multinational corporations, and;- Having in-depth policy specialization and experience in one or more of the following issue areas: global trade, privacy, emerging tech, energy, utilities, financial services, auto, and industries.

Demonstrates intimate abilities and/or a proven record of success in advising clients on policy and regulatory issues and devise organizational transformational efforts, including the following areas:- Assessing business and economic implication of policy, legislation and regulations on clients;- Developing and implementing government relations strategies;- Managing and leading complex engagements/projects and assignments and look for and act on opportunities by leveraging specialists across the firm;- Crafting and delivering points of view through written and oral communication to build organizational influence, interpersonal relationships, professional business networks, and executive-level commitment;- Leading multiple diverse teams to achieve business goals including, mentoring/coaching, developing and motivating others, contributing to an atmosphere of high performance, innovation, integrity and fun;- Understanding issues and solving problems in systematic, quantitative and qualitative manner.

The salary range for this position is: $105,400 - $325,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
