Position Details
Title: CNC Machinist
Shift & Days: 4/10s, Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Includes two 20-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch
Overtime: Occasional overtime on Fridays, but not common
Experience Required:
Experience in setting up and operating CNC machines.
Ability to work with tight tolerances and high-precision components.
Background in the aerospace or automotive industry is advantageous.
Competencies such as being a self-starter, reliability, and team orientation are highly valued.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $22.74 - $28/hour, depending on experience level (3 levels of machinists).
Benefits:

401k with a standard match after 90 days.
PTO:
0-4 years: 88 hours
5+ years: 128 hours (Eligible after 90 days, prorated)

Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Typical Day:
Key Tasks:
Operate a minimum of 2 machines.
Perform setups independently and ensure quality at the source.
Read and interpret G-code.
Focus on productivity while maintaining flexibility and willingness to learn.
Demonstrate initiative, self-starting behavior, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Equipment:
Use Artage mill and Dussan machines with 4-axis capabilities (4th axis functions as an indexer).
Products & Materials:
Work with tight tolerances (1-2 thousandths) on products requiring high precision.
Handle materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and heat-treated 17/4 stainless steel (Rockwell 42-45), as well as Rockwell 360 ball bearings.
Manufacture primarily for the aerospace industry, with close ties to the portable metrology, aerospace, and automotive industries.
Quality & Measurement:
Involved in precision alignment, including working with CMM systems and telescopes.
Ensure high standards of quality and precision across all tasks.
Receive a list of orders each week to guide production.
