Overview

Assists the Manager of Research Administration Contracts with research administration services, specifically focused on contract management, in support of research funded by federal, foundation and pharmaceutical/biotechnology corporations, among other sponsoring entities.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, revise, process and negotiate all manner of research agreements including but not limited to clinical trial agreements, other industry agreements, non-disclosure and non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, data use agreements, collaborative research agreements, registry/repository/consortium participation agreement, and miscellaneous research related agreements

  • Assist Manager of Research Contracts in administering contract management system (MyAgreements) and implementation of team process improvement projects

  • Work with other teams in Research Administration as appropriate to monitor compliance operational terms for active contracts. Serves as a resource for accurate interpretation of operational terms.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate preferred and 1-2 years experience Experience should be in a hospital or academic research institution or similar setting or

  • Bachelor's Degree Required and 3-5 years experience Experience in drafting and interpreting complex contract language, as it relates to research; Strong communication and analytical skills (verbal and written) a must; Experience should be in a hospital or academic research institution or similar setting

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $29.54/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is entirely remote or work from home. The person hired must live in the Kansas City metro area or request advanced approval to work outside of the area and may attend onsite meetings, as scheduled.
