Job Description
Manages Risk Program staff. Designs, implements and manages risk programs to include infection prevention, quality assurance, performance improvement and patient safety for the LTC division assuring compliance with oversight agencies. Ensures risk prevention activities for the long term care division promote the highest quality of resident care and services and includes new staff orientation, reoccurring training for existing staff and training on new implementations. Assists the Director of Nursing for LTC in coordination and preparation for the annual state survey and other governing surveys. Collaborates with the Quality Resources department in corporate quality initiatives and ensures compliance with both State and other governing agency LTC standards.
Minimum Requirements
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in education and experience Previous management experience required.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in LTC facility.
Regulatory survey experience with Federal Regulations and other governing agency standards.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to write, type, and operate word processing, spreadsheet and other personal computer programs designed to organize and present data.
Ability to design, organize and analyze reports.
Ability to assist others in meeting priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work effectively and independently.
Excellent problem solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Five years health care experience.
Prior experience in quality assurance/performance improvement.
Management experience in LTC
