Job Description
Join our metal fabrication department as a Press Brake Operator, where you will be responsible for operating the press brake machine with a focus on quality and safety.
Roles and Responsibilities
Your tasks will include setting up and operating the machine according to established procedures, adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately and timely, performing part programming, inspecting parts for accuracy, and assisting in troubleshooting as needed.
You will use various hand tools, computers, measuring tools, and machinery safely and effectively.
Sets-up and operates machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion.
Performs part programming on machine.
Forms, inspects parts for accuracy, places correct Labels on parts and sorts.
Assists in performance of trouble shooting on machine when needed.
Safely and effectively use hand tools, computers, various measuring tools, and machinery.
Additional Skills And Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES include, but are not limited to the following.
Ability to schedule work load and material efficiency.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
Familiar with 5S method of processing.
Complete understanding of fabrication mathematics.
Ability to measure and verify dimensions using various measuring devices: tape measure, caliper, machinist square, pro-tractor.
Ability to identify, retrieve and install the required punch based on bend radius.
Ability to identify, retrieve and install the required die based on material thickness.
Ability to download program files, or program a press brake at the controller.
Ability to program each program step using tonnage mode, angle mode/absolute position.
Ability to properly and safely operate a press brake from a variety of manufacturers.
Ability to troubleshoot, analyze and resolve operating and fabricating challenges.
Pay and Shift:
Shift: Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM
On hot days could come in at 5AM
OT: Optional some Saturdays
Pay-25-30$/hr based on experience and interview.

2 years minimum work history required, 2 years of experience in press brake/machine operating.
