LOCATION: Kansas City, MO

Topeka, KS

PAY RANGE: Sr SC Risk Management Mgr: $79,100 - $105,400

Lead SC Risk Management Mgr: $93,100 - $124,100

Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Job may require additional hours as required.

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Sr/Lead Supply Chain Risk Management Manager reports to the Director, Supply Chain Excellence & Diversity and is responsible for overseeing and managing the supply chain risk management program. The incumbent will collaborate with cross functional teams to develop, implement, maintain, and audit supply chain risk management systems, policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and mitigate supply chain risk.

Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks within the supply chain.

  • Analyze and monitor the end-to-end supply chain for vulnerabilities and potential disruptions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Conduct risk assessments and audits of suppliers and third-party vendors.

  • Monitor global economic, geopolitical, and environmental factors that could impact the supply chain.

  • Utilize data analytics and modeling techniques to forecast and quantify supply chain risks.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of risk management initiatives.

  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers regarding risk management strategies and initiatives.

  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in supply chain risk management.

  • Lead or participate in crisis management and business continuity planning efforts.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for supply chain risk management policies, processes and procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or other business related field is required. A Master’s degree or advanced certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM, CPSC, PMP) is preferred.

  • Relevant experience in utilities, energy, manufacturing, or construction industry is preferred.

  • Requires 5 years of proven experience in supply chain management, risk management, or related field and a deep understanding of supply chain management, sourcing and supplier relationship and risk management principles and application within a center-led Supply Chain.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across many functional areas

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to supply chain risk management.

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are highly desired with additional proficiencies in the use of other Microsoft Office tools including Access, Project and Visio.

  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Testing:

Successful candidate must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions will vary from office to field environment. Must be able to work additional hours, both indoors and outdoors, on short notice in all types of weather.

Office environment with both in office and remote working conditions.
