Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Kansas City, Missouri

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a VP/Director of Finance based in KANSAS CITY, Missouri. This role is primarily focused on overseeing financial processes within the company, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of accounting functions, and directing financial strategies. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in financial reporting, auditing, and budget processes, and will utilize their expertise in Accounting Software Systems and Oracle.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Utilize expertise in Accounting Software Systems to manage financial data and reports

• Conduct annual budget planning and execution, closely monitoring budget processes

• Implement and oversee auditing processes to ensure financial compliance and accuracy

• Lead the financial close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support company objectives

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for management review

• Utilize Oracle for various financial processes and tasks

• Monitor and manage customer accounts, taking appropriate actions when necessary

• Process customer credit applications in a timely and accurate manner. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role within the finance industry

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding and experience in Accounting Functions

• Proven experience in managing Annual Budgets

• Auditing experience is essential

• Proficient in Budget Processes

• Must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Financial Reporting

• Experience with the Financial Close Process is required

• Proficiency in Oracle is essential

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a team

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certification would be a plus

• Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
