Introduction:

We are seeking a skilled QA people manager/technical lead with experience in the manufacturing domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology (IT), software testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, team management and knowledge of automation tools. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our manufacturing software products by collaborating with stakeholders, review of test plans, test cases, design documents and through rigorous testing analysis. Mentoring the team members and helping them in getting the issues resolved.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the Design review meetings.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage.

  • Review the test plans, test cases and scripts for the reporting team members to ensure the quality of software releases.

  • Work closely with the team members to help them resolve any challenges they face during the execution phase.

  • Review the tickets logged by the QA for accuracy and completeness.

  • Analyze data using SQL to validate system behavior and trouble shoot issues.

  • Understand and align the QA policy and procedures for audit to ensure compliance.

  • Work on the improvement roadmap of the QA functions along with clear goals and objectives for individuals.

  • Mentoring and grooming the team members to scale them to the next levels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronics, or related field.

  • Minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

  • Experience in team management.

  • Proficient in test automation

  • Experience with automated testing tools like UFT, Selenium, Rest assured.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to resolve any conflicts and ensure a healthy working environment within the team.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Solid understanding of the UNIX fundamentals, file system, permissions, user management, and basic commands.

  • Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)

  • Good understanding of database and it's integration with front end applications. Experience in running and creating simple and complex SQL Queries.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Electronics with experience in Semiconductor

  • Certified in software testing (e.g. ISTQB)

  • Knowledge on CI/CD tools and pipelines
