Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be performing mechanical assembly on pump mounted skid packages. You will also be responsible for reading blueprints and operating hand tools. You will be working closely with lead mechanics, assisting them in cleaning the shop, hauling tools, and in the assembly process of skid mounted pumps.
Hard Skills
Skid assembly experience
Experience performing shaft alignments
Experience with tape measures and levels
Experience using hand tools and power tools
Must have own basic hand tools i.e. 3in and a quarter wrenches
Soft Skills

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s) before being brought on direct.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Katy, Texas.
Work Environment
This is a manufacturing environment that includes fabrication, welding, and assembly. The shop is clean but not climate controlled. You will be working at different stations, mounting pumps and compressors on skids. The environment includes forklifts, overhead cranes, and different areas for assembly and welding. The schedule includes a day shift from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or until work is complete. You will be expected to work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday, and 10-hour shifts as workload increases (6:00AM - 4:30PM). Weekend work may be required as needed. Currently, the average work week is 45 hours, with an expectation of increased workload in the coming months.
