Actalent Drafter in Kaukauna, Wisconsin
Job Title: DrafterJob Description
This role involves performing 99% of the work on the computer, managing data in drawings received from clients, and translating these files into shop detail drawings. The drafter will work on projects individually, with one other person, or with a team of up to nine others, depending on the project's size. All work is done in 2D, with no 3D design or product design involved.
Responsibilities
Manage data in client-provided drawings.
Translate files into shop detail drawings.
Work on projects individually or in teams, depending on project size.
Interface with the shop, which is a loud and noisy fabrication environment.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD with at least 1 year of experience.
Ability to read flat prints/blueprints.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data manipulation, and H-lookups.
Mechanical inclination, such as working on cars, home improvements, or shop environment experience.
Associate's degree in CAD/drafting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
3+ years of AutoCAD experience.
2+ years of drafting within a piping setting.
Background in metal fabrication, manufacturing, or welding.
Work Environment
This is a growing and expanding company with a wide variety of clients. The drafter will be part of a team of 10 total drafters and checkers. The work environment includes interfacing with the shop, which is very loud and noisy due to fabrication activities.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00
