Express Employment Professionals Water Technician in Keego Harbor, Michigan

A water and mold technician, also known as a remediation technician, is responsible for assessing and removing contaminants from buildings caused by water damage, mold, and other issues:

  • Assess the situation: Determine the issue by evaluating the environment to identify contaminants.
  • Clean up: Remove the cause of the damage using tools like drying equipment.
  • Recommend solutions: Provide recommendations to customers.
  • Manage projects: Manage remediation projects.
  • Document: Inspect, evaluate, and document water damaged properties.
  • Remove materials: Remove affected building materials when deemed non-salvageable.
  • Work with others: Coordinate with office employees, other technicians, and managers.
  • Provide customer service: Provide excellent customer service and answer homeowner questions.
  • Follow protocols: Abide by all safety protocols and wear full personal protective equipment.

Special requirements:

  • Required to work week ends and overtime as needed or as requested by the Mitigation Management team and/or the President.
  • Ability to plan, organize, schedule and complete work assignments in a timely manner in an environment where interruptions occur
  • The position requires a high level of analytical skill as well as ability to comprehend, interpret, and process detailed information and data

Credentials and Experience

  • 5 to 10 year of solid experience in restoration industry

Hours of Work

  • Standard Hours (may be altered at any time) 8:00am -- 5:00 pm -- Monday -- Friday (Report to office by 8:00 am daily)
  • Will require to work after 5:00pm whenever deemed necessary by meet
