C.H. Robinson Regional Operations Training and Development Specialist in Keilor Park, Australia
C.H. Robinson is looking for a Regional Operations Training and Development Specialist to join our dynamic operations training team. Leverage your expertise in industry practices, concepts, and principles to drive the success of our Global Operations Training Program at C.H. Robinson.
As the Operations Training and Development Specialist, you will collaborate with the Regional Manager for Operations Training, Global Training Team, regional branch offices, and corporate teams to help our organization succeed by training and developing our Global Forwarding operations staff. You will be responsible to develop and implement strategic roadmaps for designing and deploying impactful training solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Be able to identify the need for, design, and deploy appropriate training solutions for Global Forwarding development initiatives of the desk level staff, modal leaders, and GF Corporate teams
Collaborate with regional training contributors in aspects related to the Global Operations Training Program
Deploy all aspects of the Global Forwarding Onboarding Program in the development of regional operations staff ensuring a consistent training strategy.
Work with the Business Process Optimization Team, Compliance Team, and Technology Team to support technology and operations process changes.
Design process and technology solutions, follow testing requirements related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and identify need to revise or add additional testing scenarios as needed
Design and deliver Global Forwarding related web-based learning, instructor led courses, workshops, and other various Global Forwarding trainings utilizing our organization’s LMS
Provide re-training to branch modal teams and modal leadership as identified by Business Process Optimization Team and/or Compliance Team audit findings
Develop, maintain, and publish quality accessible operations resource documentation, e.g. Job Aids, Responsibility Guides, Users Guides, and SOPs
Be an active member of the Regional Training Team, attend regular web meeting s and contribute to team projects assignments
Develop Global Forwarding training templates and adhere to Global Forwarding operations knowledge site publication standards
Promote availability to accessible quality opportunities related to freight forwarding and industry professional development.
Oversee the internal training and support queue, ensuring timely and accurate responses to operations staff questions, escalating issues as needed.
Assist with the development of other training team members, design and develop knowledge documentation/
Design and deploy training surveys as needed, assist with reporting survey results and collaborate with leadership team to redesign solutions as identified.
Assume LMS Administration rights and comply with enterprise guidelines.
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School Diploma or Graduate Degree or equivalent
Minimum 6 years of Global Forwarding Operations / training experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Strong multi-modal product knowledge
Preferred:
Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field
Experience in adult education or training and change management techniques to drive individual and team behavior change is a plus
Experience collaborating across functions and regions, simplifying complex processes for training. Can understand and simplify a variety of complex processes to train and document accordingly
Strong communication, presentation, coaching, and training skills.
Able to actively listen to and consider others’ views by asking questions and check for understanding
Detail-oriented, organized with ability to multi task
Exerts some influence, should be a self-starter, work independently and be able to work under general direction
Values a diverse and inclusive work environment
