Schauenburg Systems Senior Production Manager - Kempton Park in Kempton Park, South Africa

Job Purpose

To be involved with the planning, coordination, and control of manufacturing processes. To ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric

  • Production / Management Diploma/Degree

  • 5-10 years' experience in Production Management'

  • Extensive experience managing in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Management Certification from a recognized institution/association.

  • Candidate should have good interpersonal skills for dealing with internal and external customers as well as diverse stakeholders.

  • Skilled in managing several teams at once.

  • MRP/ERP experience

  • Industrial Engineering experience (Advantage)

  • AI & Digitalization knowledge (Advantage)

Responsibilities

Project

  • Planning and organizing production schedules.

  • Ensuring that the production is cost effective.

  • Ensuring that products are produced on time and are of good quality.

  • Working out the human and material resources needed.

  • Drafting a timescale for each job.

  • Setting quality standards.

  • Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes.

  • Overseeing production processes and adjusting schedules as needed.

  • Ensure selecting, ordering, and purchasing materials are on time.

  • Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.

  • Liaison with different departments, e.g., purchasing, sales and technical department.

  • Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with internal customers and managers.

  • Ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed.

Supervision

  • Supervising and motivating of team of employees.

  • Reviewing working performances.

  • Identifying training needs.

  • Be able to work in a team, diligent, proactive, well-groomed, trustworthy, reliable, numerical and analytical skills

  • Willing to work overtime
