Job Summary
The Event Coordinator
duties and responsibilities center around planning and coordinating high-quality events of varying size and purposes, and performing acquisition activities for an array of goods and services for various departments within the Kenaitze Indian Tribe.
Essential Functions
- Plan, implement, and manage all aspects of the event planning process, including but not limited to: Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, venue identification, menu development, and budget management
- Collaborate with departments within the Tribe as well as local community groups
- Coordinate with the Human Resource Department to plan employee events
- Coordinate with the Tribal Member Services Department to plan the Annual Membership Meeting, Quarterly Meetings, Opening of the Net and other Tribal events
- Coordinate all other events collaboratively with stakeholders
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues
- Perform centralized purchasing activities as assigned
- Advise programs on purchasing-related issues and provide training
- Ensures compliance with Tribal, federal, state and local employment laws regulations, Tribal policies and TERO ordinance
