job summary:
Mold Shop Technician (2nd shift OR 3rd Shift) located near Kendallville, IN for a leading manufacturer for the automotive industry. This role is responsible to visualize product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.

Required qualifications:
Must have at least two (2) years Mold Shop experience
Able to read and interpret documents such as, blueprints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and manuals
Experience in using a variety of welding equipment
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
Preferred:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school

responsibilities:
Use blueprints, sketches, manuals, or descriptions, to visualize product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts
Assemble parts to repair, improve or support optimal performance of plant machinery
Compute dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly method and sequence of operations
Measure, mark, and scribe stock for machining/welding
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications
Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications
