Job Description Summary Provides oversight and support of all safety and health related functions for multiple food manufacturing, distribution, or office location as delegated. Reports to the corporate Director of Safety and Health. Implements key initiatives of the corporate EHSS function by working through the various plant managers and their department leadership teams. Provides 1:1 mentorship to site safety leaders and occupational health nurses to ensure a safe work environment and engaged employees. Job Description * Act as liaison to the EHSS Pillar leaders in the Lamb Weston Operating Culture. Administer the Key Concepts of Safety to build an operating culture that integrates safety with daily operations * Provide safety leadership and assistance to plants to comply with all applicable safety and health regulations and established standards. Act as a liaison for the Company to regulatory agencies when needed, (e.g., inspections, conference committees, SME, etc.) * Lead in the active engagement of all employees in safety related activities. Train and coach employees as needed in safety engagement activities and leadership. * Provide leadership toward identifying hazards prioritizing and reducing risks. Utilize risk assessment techniques to improve machine safety, ergonomics, and mechanical integrity. * Lead safety assurance efforts to include: Support third party assessments and support or conduct self-assessments at plants to ensure monitoring and measuring performance * Provide safety and health guidance in plant early management design and review process, management of change, and whenever new substances, processes, or procedures are introduced that may represent a new or previously unrecognized hazard. * Provide leadership to ensure plants have adequately identified hazards and subsequent emergency response action and response plans. Support training efforts of responders. * Lead incident management efforts to ensure: Effective RCA training (TapRooT) of plant safety leaders; timely reporting, analysis, and CAPA sharing; effective corrective and preventive actions are developed and tracked to completion at facilities * Support mentoring of Safety Team Leaders and interns and participate in recruiting efforts Basic & Preferred Qualifications Position Requirements * MS Safety degree or Bachelors degree in safety or closely related field plus equiv. experience * Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist * Minimum of 12 years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably over multiple locations, in a manufacturing environment.
