Project Manager III

Kent, WA

Contract Position

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the transition of component acceptance testing from development to rate production testing in an aerospace environment.
  • Manage the entire testing process, including vibration, dynamics, cryogenic, thermal, and functional testing, ensuring components meet aerospace standards.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to move components from development through testing phases.
  • Develop and manage project plans covering timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure testing protocols adhere to company standards for vibration, dynamics, and thermal testing.
  • Oversee setup, maintenance, and scheduling of test environments and apparatus to maximize efficiency.
  • Communicate project updates regularly, adjusting plans as needed to address changes or challenges.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners for timely delivery of components and testing equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Certification: PMP certification or equivalent project management experience.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
    • Strong understanding of component testing methodologies, including vibration, dynamics, cryogenic, and thermal tests.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Proven ability to manage teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
  • Environment: Office and laboratory setting, with frequent visits to manufacturing and test facilities. May require work outside regular hours to meet deadlines.
