ITW HVAC / Facilities Technician in Kernersville, North Carolina

This role will be on first shift and will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of all air conditioning and ventilation systems. This role will also be responsible for assigned facility maintenance and repairs.
Support company sites in HVAC, commercial, industrial and electrical systems.
Develop and update the PM programs for HVAC, commercial, industrial, and electrical systems.
Update CMMS (Fiix) with PM schedules, PM programs, Work Orders, and Parts.
Responsible for all maintenance projects, PM’s and breakdowns of HVAC and facility electrical systems.
Will take the lead on the morning maintenance meetings before and after the assigned shift.
Prepare and provide the daily downtime cause code report.
Coordinate work with internal and external employees, vendors, and contractors.
Adherence to all regulatory and company safety rules, procedures, and policies; including PPE requirements. Required to follow all LO/TO procedures.
Support site processes in mechanical, electrical and control systems.
Requires working a flexible work schedule on short notice, as needed.
Perform special projects and other duties as required.
Associate degree in a related field required or 5 years’ experience as a HVAC technician.
Strong “hands-on” experience in manufacturing repairing and improving equipment and processes.
Ability to work effectively and communicate positively with managers, supervisors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
Intermediate math skills to include understanding of basic algebraic formulas using fractions, ratios analysis, and proportions.
Must be able to read and understand mechanical plans and wiring diagrams.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks when there are multiple and conflicting demands. Must be able to meet deadlines.
Excellent reading, technical writing, and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, and kneel as well as have the ability to lift, move, and/or transport up to 50 lbs.
Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to don appropriate gowning materials and wear PPE as defined by plant safety procedures.
