Naval Sea Systems Command QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in Keyport, Washington

Summary You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the UNDERSEA & COMBAT SYSTEMS DEPOT DIVISION within the UNDERSEA WEAPONS DEPT of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. Responsibilities Your will perform a variety of quality assurance and quality control oversight and functions in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of torpedoes, electronics, assemblies, subassemblies and parts in accordance with the Depot. You will review data collected to reflect actions within quality systems to determine adequacy of quality operations and to detect program weaknesses and to predict major causes of failures. You will review, analyze, and interpret regulations, instructions and directives pertinent to quality systems and technical work requirements. You will perform quality evaluation surveillances, review work processes being used, safety practices, use of and condition of tools, and accuracy and condition of technical references. You will prepare reports of discrepancies, follow up on replies and implementation of corrective action. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing the production, maintenance, repair, testing and/or troubleshooting of torpedoes to provide sustainment or problem resolution.
