JOB REQUIREMENTS: This professional nursing position is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to a mostly geriatric and/or disabled population. The Nurse Clinician 2 provides direction to other staff in the provision and coordination of member care, and monitors care given by other health team members on a unit, floor, or in a building. All activities are performed in accordance with applicable industry standards of practice, facility policy/procedures, and facility and governmental rules and regulations. Job Details Nurse Clinician 2 positions work on all three (3) shifts; AM, PM, and NOC (overnight). We have part-time and full-time positions. Candidate preferences gathered at time of interview. Nurse Clinician 2 positions work multiple shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Job duties require the ability to assist in mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing. Employment in this position is contingent upon passing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Employees at this healthcare facility are required to report their COVID-19 vaccination status, whether vaccinated or not, and provide supporting documentation if vaccinated. Newly hired employees will be required to submit this information by their third day of employment. Due to the nature of the positions, WDVA will conduct background checks on applicants prior to an offer of employment.
