United States Fleet Forces Command ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (TEST DIRECTOR) in Kings Bay, Georgia

Summary You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (TEST DIRECTOR) in the Repair Department (Code 300) of TRIDENT Refit Facility (TRIREFFAC) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY. Responsibilities You will provide technical direction to the Work Packaging and Control Group. You will maintain a database and track all TRIDENT Refit Facility work associated with REFIT. You will prepare formal and informal comprehensive reports outlining test procedures and interpret test results. You will manage overall test programs during assigned shifts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS 11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience in component/ system testing and test program management in the performance of submarine related test programs. Experience in the methods and techniques of mechanical and electrical engineering sufficient to consider overall aspects related testing and evaluation of ships systems. Experience in training and providing technical advice in construction, operation and testing of complex shipboard systems on a variety of submarine classes. Experience in U.S. Navy requirements, policies, and procedures pertaining to the design, maintenance, safety, and operation of quality assurance and submarine propulsion.
