Responsibilities
Role: Control Systems Engineers at Eastman are responsible for developing and maintaining automation solutions for a wide variety of manufacturing processes in domestic and international locations.
Primary Responsibilities: • DCS/PLC/HMI/Safety System design and programming in a variety of formats and platforms. • DCS, PLC, and HMI programming. • Development and design of the control system strategy and architecture. • Configuration and management of industrial communication equipment. • Cost estimate and schedule development for projects. • Purchasing and acceptance testing of hardware and software. • System integration with existing equipment. • System simulation, start up, and check-out. • Lifecycle management activities from conception to dismantlement. • SIS and SIL rated safety equipment. • Candidate may become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the following areas: control system networking and industrial instrumentation devices. • Engineering drawing development, review and approval.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechatronic or Chemical preferred) • 2+ years of experience preferred in DCS design, commissioning, and maintenance (Prefer DeltaV, Ovation, or Honeywell) • Project leadership skills a plus • Strong oral and written communication skills • Experience with other DCS platforms is a plus (NovaTech/Valmet D3, Yokogawa) • Experience with PLC equipment (Allen-Bradley and Siemens preferred) • Experience with Safety Systems (Prefer Rockwell Trusted, Emerson DeltaV, Triconex)
