Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe Surveillance Observer in Kingston, Washington

[Job Summary:]{.underline}

Observes, verifies, reports and records using closed circuit television. Monitors patrons and employees participating in gaming and non-gaming activities to verify compliance with The Point Casino Internal Controls and guidelines set forth by the Port Gamble SKlallam Tribal Gaming Board, the State Compact, The National Indian Gaming Commission and all other applicable state and federal regulations.

[Duties Include:]{.underline}

Properly operate the surveillance system, observe, analyze and report with the goal of protecting the Tribes assets, employees, patrons, property and reputation.

Monitor security through constant observation of cameras, table games, Tribal Lottery System activity, cash transactions, hard and soft count procedures, food and beverage, entrances, exits, etc.

Must have knowledge of all games, i.e.; blackjack, craps, roulette, etc and/or have completed training to maintain constant vigilance through surveillance cameras to watch participants in games to detect cheating, identify rule violators, and observe persons designated by superiors.

Respond to calls on radio and telephones.

Maintain logs of photos, radio and telephone calls pertaining to Class III gaming activity.

Reports irregularities immediately.

Observation of all facets of casino operation to ensure compliance.

Monitor all areas for suspicious activities in order to report such activities and ensure safety of PGST guests, employees and property.

Must learn basic policies and procedures for all casino departments, The Point Casino Internal Controls, the Tribal-State Compact, National Indian Gaming Commission Minimum Internal Controls Standards, and table games.

Comply with internal controls.

Enter and retrieve information from computer data base in order to utilize such information in surveillance activities.

Check all cameras, recording devices and operating equipment to ensure their proper effectiveness in surveillance activities. Participates in ongoing hands on training to develop skills.

Must successfully complete oral and/or written examinations on a random, continual basis.

Exhibit sound decision making with emphasis on motivating team and maintaining high department morale.

Work with, yet independently of other departments for the overall benefit of the Tribe.

Adhere to regulatory, departmental and Agency policies in an ethical manner.

Maintain strict adherence to chain of command and confidentiality.

Observes and reports any non-compliance with policies and procedures in departments.

Observes and reports possible criminal activity.

Interfaces with Tribal Gaming Agents regarding all processes & controls of the Tribal Gaming Agency.

Prepares daily logs and reports on all activities observed during shift.

Has access to highly sensitive and restricted areas.
