Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe TGA IT Manager in Kingston, Washington

Responsible for the comprehensive development, installation, operation, and maintenance of all information systems within the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal Gaming Agency. This includes overseeing the performance and security of computers, software, audio-visual systems, and surveillance equipment. The Regulatory IT Agent will ensure all technology meets operational standards and regulatory requirements, providing technical support and guidance to maintain the integrity and efficiency of the Agency's information systems.

 

Duties Include

  • Ensures Technical Compliance: Maintains and enforces rigorous adherence to all relevant regulatory frameworks, including the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe-State Compact, PGST Gaming Code, PGST Tribal Internal Control Standards (TICS), the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), and the National Indian Gaming Commission's Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS). This involves continuous monitoring, evaluation, and updating of internal processes to ensure that the Technical Gaming Agency (TGA) operates within all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Technical Liaison & Systems Management:

Serves as the primary technical liaison between the TGA, PGST IT Department, and Casino Enterprise IT Department, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration on all technology-related matters. Manages the full lifecycle of TGA's information systems, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, telecommunications, audio-visual equipment, and surveillance systems. Ensures optimal performance, security, and reliability while addressing interdepartmental IT needs efficiently.

Systems Auditing and Compliance: Conducts thorough audits of system procedures, evaluating the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of technical operations. Utilizes advanced auditing tools and methodologies to ensure that all IT systems meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Procedural Development and Enforcement: Leads the development, modification, and enforcement of departmental procedures related to technical support and IT operations. This includes establishing best practices for system maintenance, user support, and incident response, ensuring alignment with overall TGA objectives and compliance requirements.

Strategic IT Planning: Engages in strategic planning activities, including the feasibility analysis of systems integration projects, capacity planning, and production scheduling. Collaborates with other departments to assess the technical implications of proposed initiatives and to develop detailed plans that support organizational growth and innovation.

Inventory Management: Maintains a comprehensive inventory of all IT-related equipment, ensuring that the necessary hardware, software, and peripheral devices are available and operational at all times. Implements inventory control procedures to prevent shortages and to ensure that critical systems remain functional without interruption.

Technical Training and Support: Provides expert technical advice and training to TGA staff, covering a wide range of topics including the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, software, telecommunications, and surveillance systems. Develops training materials and conducts sessions tailored to the specific needs of TGA personnel.

Network and Security Management: Evaluates the configuration, security, and performance of the TGA's network infrastructure. Recommends and implements upgrades and improvements to enhance system robustness, protect sensitive data, and mitigate
