Caswell Developmental Center is a residential campus in Kinston, NC.The Housekeeper provides services and supports to approximately 300 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, complex behavioral challenges and/or medical conditions whose clinical treatment needs exceed the level of care available in the community.Job responsibilities include the following:
- Performs housekeeping duties in and assigned area of the facility.
- Follows established work schedule that covers all phases of housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Work Location: Environmental Services Work Hours: Monday - Friday; 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Rotating weekends)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Qualified candidates must document on the application that they clearly possess all the following:
- General knowledge of established cleaning procedures, techniques and special applications required in assigned areas
- Must be able to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to perform medium to heavy physical work
- Ability to spend long periods of time reaching, bending, standing and walking.
Management Preference:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and a valid NC Driver's License.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Education and/or experience in housekeeping work that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade.
