Google Senior Application Analyst, Trust and Safety in Kirkland, Washington

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, and visualization/dashboards.

  • Experience in a scripting/programming language (e.g. Python).

  • Experience with security audits and/or security solutions development and implementation.

  • Experience with cloud-based applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment.

  • Ability to work non-standard hours as needed to support escalations. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. The Third Party Data Safety team’s mission is to protect every user’s privacy and build trust in how their data is shared with third-party Apps while maintaining a growing third-party Developer Ecosystem. We drive towards our mission through OAuth access reviews, security assessments, cross product abuse signal monitoring, and architecting developer enforcement models.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Conduct deep-dive analysis of recently activated tokens/projects or understanding patterns and threats. Analyze business, infrastructure, and other signal data, for a variety of patterns including fraud, brand risk, control breakdown, and regulatory non-compliance. Calibrate and convey findings from your work to stakeholders.

  • Manage ongoing risk assessments and development of recommendations for mitigating findings.

  • Drive prioritization, alignment, and implementation of risk mitigation initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.

  • Deliver process impact measures, and establish metrics for programs, comprehensive reporting and actionable insights on risks and process health.

  • Review or be exposed to sensitive content as part of the core role. Participate in on call rotation, which may include non-standard hours (weekends/holidays).
