Job Title: Soil Technician

Job Description

A local geotechnical firm is looking to add a Soil Technician to work on construction projects in the Seattle Area. The candidate will be operating a nuclear density gauge to conduct soil compaction testing and writing reports. Additionally, the candidate will be testing concrete and asphalt samples. Experience in engineering, geology, construction, or a related field is required. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a nuclear density gauge to conduct soil compaction testing.

  • Write detailed reports on findings.

  • Test concrete and asphalt samples.

  • Conduct soil sampling and analysis.

Essential Skills

  • Report writing

  • Soil testing

  • Soil sampling

  • Experience with nuclear density gauge

  • Construction materials testing

  • Soil analysis

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 1 year of geotechnical or environmental field experience

  • Nuclear Density Gauge certification is preferred

  • Experience in Engineering, Construction, Geology, or related field

Work Environment

Meet at the office in Kirkland at 7 AM, head out into the field for the day, and end the day at 4 or 5 PM by dropping off the vehicle at the office. Projects are located in Seattle.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00
