Job Title: Human Resources Associate (HRA) Location: Kirksville, MO Department: People and Culture - Human Resources Employment Type: Full-time Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

As an HRA, you'll play a key role in providing administrative support to our HR Department while delivering excellent customer service to associates seeking guidance. This position involves responsibilities such as conducting new-hire orientation, coordinating various HR programs, and maintaining personnel files. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Team, working closely with HR Partners and the Director of Human Resources to achieve departmental goals and initiatives.
  • New-Hire Orientation:Conduct New-Hire Orientation for staff in assigned region(s); communicate, interact, and present to various large groups.
  • HRIS Data Management:Assist with approving data entries/processes and enter information into the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) as needed.
  • Associate Gift Coordination:Coordinate associate gifts according to company policy for staff in assigned regions.
  • ID Badge Creation:Create photo identification badges for staff using ID badge software.
  • Email Account Monitoring:Serve as backup for monitoring the HR email account, addressing requests as needed.
  • Personnel Filing:Complete all personnel filing, including medical filing and creating new associate files.
  • Background Check Requirements:Manage ongoing background check requirements for staff and assistance with audits of personnel files.
  • Employment Verification:Complete employment and income verification requests timely.
  • Unemployment Protests:Respond to unemployment protests by gathering necessary information for accurate submission.
  • Document Scanning:Scan HR documents to ensure that files are up-to-date for associates and contractors/students/volunteers.
  • HR Events Assistance:Assist in organizing and participating in HR events such as recruitment and wellness fairs.
  • Professional Representation:Present a professional image by courteously greeting visitors to the HR department.
  • Miscellaneous Duties:Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to take initiative in completing projects/assignments.
  • Exceptional knowledge and skill in general office principles and practices.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thoroughly skilled in accuracy and highly detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in common word processing, spreadsheet, and web-based applications.
  • Ability to handle information confidentially.
  • Excellent customer service with a positive attitude.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
  • Two (2) years of administrativ experience (required)
  • One (1) year of human resources experience (preferred)

Supervisory Requirements: N/A

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
  • All training requirements including Relias Learning at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.

Physical Requirements:

  • ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other criteria are met.
