Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for community-based coalitions, teams, and task forces in the assigned geographic area, fostering collaboration and partnerships.

  • Resource Provision: Provide information and technical assistance to coalitions regarding substance use prevention programs and resources, ensuring access to relevant information and support.

  • Training Facilitation: Offer training resources to enhance coalitions' ability to prevent substance use and promote community wellness, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge.

  • Service Response: Respond to requests for prevention services and information throughout the assigned counties, ensuring equitable access to services for all populations and community-based organizations.

  • Needs Assessment: Assist in creating yearly community and coalition needs assessments for the designated geographic area, informing strategic planning and resource allocation.

  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of Strategic Work Plan strategies, aligning efforts with organizational goals and community needs.

  • Training Participation: Participate in the Statewide Prevention Training and Resource Network and other relevant initiatives, staying informed of best practices and emerging trends.

  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit monthly progress reports, billing percentage reports, Minimum Data Set (MDS), and other required documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Annual Reports and Quality Improvement: Assist in the development of annual reports and Quality Improvement Indicators, contributing to organizational accountability and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Professional Development: Participate in conferences, in-services, and other required events to enhance professional knowledge and skills.

  • Commitment to Organizational Goals: Demonstrate commitment to the company's long-term and short-term goals, aligning efforts with the mission and vision of the organization.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, public health, education, psychology, community development, public administration, or a closely related field; OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields with at least one (1) year of professional experience in a social service agency; OR

  • Associate's Degree in relevant fields with at least two (2) years of professional experience in a social service agency.

  • For 75% FTE Staff: Obtain the Missouri Substance Abuse Prevention Associate (MSAPA) credential within six (6) months of hire.

  • For 75% FTE Staff: Attend the Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST) within nine (9) months of hire.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of program policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Ability to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within the assigned program.

  • Strong communication skills to produce clear and concise reports.
