This position requires you to have experience in heavy road construction equipment, excavation and site work, to underground utilities, bridge construction, and asphalt paving. Responsibilities

  • Supervises all phases of a paving operation such as maintenance of equipment, employees, and distribution of product.

  • Will direct & manage crew members to perform asphalt paving tasks in the process of completing construction projects along with equipment and materials needed for each project.

  • Responsible for implementing environmental, health and safety regulations and policies (local, state and government).

  • Maintaining time and materials records necessary to complete daily job costing.

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of equipment.

  • Logistics planning

  • Scheduling construction daily and weekly

  • Execute project work plans

  • Manage crews productively and efficiently

  • Must keep equipment serviced and in good condition.

  • Must have an understanding of the dangers involved in an interstate operation.

  • Must have the ability to work safely and follow the policies and procedures of the company.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5 recent years? experience in managing heavy civil paving crews, preferably asphalt.

  • DOT Physical, Osha 10 certified, preferred

  • Must have a safety first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.

  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required

  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions. Regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.

  • Work environment periodically exposes the employees to high asphalt levels of noise and dust that is typically associated with a construction project.

  • Work may involve a variety of substances commonly found on construction sites such as grease, gasoline, diesel fuel and hot asphalt mix.

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects weighting up to 50 lbs. Use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.

  • Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination
