Job Description

AECOM Buildings + Places Architectural team is seeking a Senior Design Architect to join our team. Embrace flexibility with our hybrid work model, with potential bases in Kitchener, ON; London, ON; Mississauga, ON .

Major Responsibilities:

  • Leadership in Design : Craft groundbreaking designs that serve as benchmarks for the industry, guiding projects from inception to completion.

  • Project Management : Oversee the project lifecycle, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional quality standards.

  • Business Development : Drive growth by identifying new opportunities and fostering enduring client partnerships.

  • Integrated Teamwork : Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver cohesive and sustainable design solutions.

  • Client Engagement : Build and nurture relationships with clients, ensuring their visions are translated into progressive architectural design. Ensure projects are delivered at the calibre and quality to ensure repeat business

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must meet the below requirement, at a very minimum:

  • Education and Experience: A University Degree in Architecture plus eight years of experience as a Registered Architect with the OAA.

Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Preference for those with over ten years of experience in Institutional Projects, including Public Safety and Justice.

  • Certifications : LEED certification and familiarity with AAA/AIBC/OAQ/AIA are highly regarded.

  • Skills : Proficiency in REVIT, BIM, MS Office, Adobe Suite, and strong communication abilities are essential.

Additional Information

Security Clearance is required on a project-specific basis.

Company paid relocation is not available for this position.

Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00.
