Actalent Controls Engineer in Knoxville, Tennessee
Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description
As a Controls Engineer, you will contribute to our industrial control system design and configuration efforts for multiple projects on diverse DCS and PLC platforms. Your role will include implementing plant automation using our in-house integration methods and vendor-supplied hardware and software. You will interact with customers and our sales staff to meet project requirements, and have the knowledge of electrical wiring for industrial control systems along with the ability to troubleshoot and/or perform redline markups of electrical circuits. Occasional travel to work sites to assist with integration may also be necessary.
Hard Skills
Controls engineering with batching experience in the pharma industry
Integrating controls systems
Familiar with PLC / Siemens and Allen-Bradley
5+ years of experience
Soft Skills
Ability to interact with customers and sales staff
Capability to troubleshoot and perform redline markups of electrical circuits
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Knoxville, Tennessee and some days remote.
Work Environment
You will be working in a combination of a typical office environment and plant-site environment. On-site work is preferred, however, a hybrid schedule could be accommodated if necessary (at least 2 weeks a month in office for the first 2 months, then 1 week a month).
