Responsibilities:
Write draft content and/or edit proposal content drafted by other contributors
Research written materials and interview SMEs to understand and develop relevant, often technical, information for use in proposal writing.
Ensure all text conforms to company style guide and proposal-specific message and voice.
Ensure all text is grammatically correct and responsive to proposal requirements.
Help coordinate editorial schedule with proposal management staff while communicating needs and deadlines.
Review and understand customer hot buttons, features and benefits of proposed solution to skillfully incorporate win themes into proposal sections.
Be able to work on multiple proposals simultaneously.
Support the ongoing development and maintenance of reusable proposal content for the Proposal Resource Library
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience.
5 years of related experience in proposal writing
2-3 years of experience writing for Federal government contracts
Strong written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to extract insights, processes and information from SMEs and integrate them into writing a winning proposal.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask multiple proposals simultaneously.
Extensive experience/advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and SharePoint
Ability to develop relationships, gain internal support and establish a solid working relationship with a variety of stakeholders
Proven work ethic and ability to operate independently with limited supervision and feedback to drive the desired results.
Demonstrated ability to research, refine and develop proposal content.
The ability to operate at the senior level to inform, discuss, and come to agreement on proposal content.
