Always Best Care Senior Services, a non-medical personal care agency, seeks dependable life-giving caregivers with flexible schedules for a variety of day, evening and overnight shifts, including 12 and 24 hour care. Our ever-changing client base demands caregivers ready and willing to work in communities in Knox, Anderson, Sevierville, Blount and Loudon counties. We are seeking candidates with a passion for helping others and able to perform basic domestic chores and non-medical personal care for senior clients. These are some of the reasons our Caregivers say the LOVE working with us: * The privilege of making a difference * The ease of a flexible schedule * The comfort of companionship for those who need it * The opportunity to make life more manageable * Being able to help clients remain comfortable at home * On-going growth and professional development * Company match 401k Program * A personally rewarding career * Employee of the Month Award * Employee referral program * Gift cards Responsibilities Assist seniors with all areas of daily living, including (but not limited to): * assistance with bathing, mobility * medication reminders * meal prep and organization Perform light housekeeping, including (but not limited to): * laundry * general shopping/errands * changing linens/making the bed * arranging transportation to appointments Provide companionship * including stimulating conversation * supporting social activities * general advocacy Requirements Physical requirements: * Must have VALID DRIVERS LICENSE * Lifting/carrying occasional up to 30 lbs., climbing, bending/kneeling, sitting, walking/standing, and repetitive motion. * Experience preferred, but will train the right candidate. * Capable of working independently and to carry out tasks with minimum supervision * Clean arrest record to include no felonies of any nature * Able to successfully pass a drug test * Must have a clear status to the elderly abuse and sexual predator registry * Ability to read and write effectively and communicate with other caregivers * Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a certificate to work in the United States * Must have successful work record * Must be able to effectively communicate with the patient * Complete 1 hour In-Service Training Each Year We have Days, Nights and Weekends positions available.
