Summary
Waste Connections is looking for a Region Maintenance Manager focused on Hauling operations Fleet Maintenance throughout our MidSouth Region: Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, and Illinois. This position is based out of our Region Office located in Knoxville, TN .
As the Region Maintenance Manager , you will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with the maintenance of approximately 2,200 hauling operations vehicles positioned in 34 district locations across 6 states in the MidSouth Region. This position requires an effective leader who exemplifies our company values, can train, motivate and coach their team to be self-directed empowered employees who operate through these values to meet and exceed company goals.
Travel is required as needed (approximately 50% of the time).

Job Responsibilities
Mentors and trains Maintenance Managers, Supervisors, and Mechanics throughout the Region.
Ensures adherence to Waste Connections’ safety standards from all sites.
Instills company culture and accountability with those they lead.
Fosters collaboration between and among various site personnel across all levels.
Conducts audits and site visits at hauling maintenance facilities.
Communicates regularly with Division, Region and Corporate personnel.
Assists in monthly financial projections and annual budget formulation.
Generates reports to proactively identify trends and issues occurring in the Region.
Create and analyze maintenance metrics that will maximize reliability of equipment and control variable cost.
Manage third party relationships, including contract reviews with vendor, suppliers, and service level agreements with outside dealership.
Proactively identify trends and issues occurring in the Region and provide recommendations.
Qualifications & Skills
In-depth experience in fleet maintenance and repairs of refuse trucks and equipment.
Outstanding teambuilding and communication skills.
Ability to plan, budget, schedule, and supervise multiple projects from concept to completion.
