Position Summary
Essential duties include performing pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code. The stress work includes the modeling of the piping systems to verify piping flexibility, stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads. Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and vendors as required.
This role will be based in Knoxville, TN with periodic business travel, as required.

Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design.

Qualifications and Skills
Basic Qualifications
Level 1: Requires a BS degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 6+ years of related experience.
Level 2: Requires a BS degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 9+ years of related experience.
This role requires a facility-specific clearance that requires U.S. Citizenship.
Good knowledge of ASME B31.3 and/or B31.1 and other relevant industry piping codes and standards.
Prior experience using pipe stress analysis programs.
Additional Qualifications
PE Registration.
Prior experience using AutoPipe for pipe stress analysis.
Previous Bechtel project experience.
Previous DOD/DOE project experience.
